Bench for Future: Baterbonia’s ideal timing in court

Bench for Future: Baterbonia’s ideal timing in court

by: Denzel Caliao

Patience is not passive—it is trained daily.  Rene Clert Baterbonia shoots the hoops every day to challenge a higher level of play. He applies the same mindset to his personal life, believing that both success and love come when the timing is right. Like when the time is right, it will come. Baterbonia’s idyllic stands always stood out in all the games he played, showing the consistency of his efforts. By training his body and soul in the court, he manages to grab the perfect timing to claim his dreams.

FUEL STANDS

For him, support plays a powerful role in how he performs on the court. Knowing that someone is cheering for him, someone who believes in his potential, gives him an added boost of confidence and energy during games. It reminds him that his effort is seen and appreciated, pushing him to play harder, especially during challenging moments.

However, Rene is clear that the kind of support he values is not one that demands his attention but one that understands his focus. Encouragement, for him, is not about constant presence but about quiet belief. Whether it comes from friends, family, or someone special, support becomes a source of strength rather than pressure, allowing him to stay locked in on his game.

THE RIGHT SHOT

Basketball has taught the 17-year-old that timing is everything. On the court, rushing a play often leads to mistakes, while patience creates opportunities. He applies the same lesson to relationships, believing that love, like basketball, requires trust and understanding. Forcing either one before the right moment can do more harm than good.

Because of this mindset, Rene chooses not to rush into a relationship while he is still working toward his goals. He recognizes that commitment, whether to a team or a person, requires readiness. For now, his priority is growth, trusting that the right relationship will come when both timing and circumstances align.

DISCIPLINE ON COURT

Being single has helped Baterbonia maintain discipline and focus, allowing him to dedicate his energy fully to training and competition. With fewer distractions, he is able to commit himself to improving his skills not only during practice but even in his own time. This routine of self-improvement has become a habit that shapes his daily life.

At the same time, this period of singleness has made Rene more selective about the kind of relationship he wants in the future. He hopes to be with someone who understands his dedication and supports his ambitions rather than competing with them. For Rene, staying single is not about avoiding love—it is about preparing himself to be better, both as an athlete and as a person, when the time finally comes.
